Income-restricted leasing comes with rules. Here’s how it works at 926 Kingsley, in plain language.
Every home at 926 Kingsley is reserved for households earning at or below set income limits. In exchange, rents are set below market for a brand-new building. Limits are published by the Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD) and updated each year.
AMI stands for Area Median Income — the midpoint household income for LA County. Homes here are set aside at two tiers: 80% of AMI and 120% of AMI. Your maximum allowed income depends on the tier and your household size; larger households have higher limits.
Use our eligibility checker. Enter your household size and total annual household income and it instantly shows which homes you may qualify for. Final eligibility is confirmed during income certification.
Everyone who will live in the home — adults and children. Every adult (18+) completes the income questionnaire and signs the application, and household size determines both your income limit and which home sizes fit.
A government-issued ID for each adult, pay stubs covering the last 2 months, bank statements for the last 3 months for every account, and documentation for any other income or assets (benefits letters, retirement or investment statements, and so on). The application shows you exactly which documents apply to you and lets you upload everything online.
It’s fully online. You’ll enter your household and income details, each adult answers a short questionnaire and signs electronically, and you upload your documents at the end. Most people finish in about 15–20 minutes. Our team then reviews your file and completes the income certification.
